First outing with Mummy

Today was the first time mummy brought me out on her own. We went to Aunty Rachel's house for the weekly Tienmu playgroup gathering. At the playgroup, there was a younger member - 6 weeks old Adam, and I'm the second youngest at 8 weeks. The rest of the kids there were between 5 months - 3 years old. It was nice for mummy to meet with other mum's living around our area.

I could hear the chatter of the adults but still managed to continue to sleep in mummy's arms. She brought me to the playgroup to meet other babies but I was asleep 90 % of the time, except when I was hungry I had a few sips of milk and went back to sleep. It's a nice Friday morning activity, so it looks like we'll be joining the Tienmu Playgroup folks. :) Hopefully I'll make a few friends next time when I'm more awake!

Aunty Jacky

Aunty Jacky is leaving on a jet plane tonight. Having completed her MBA at NTU, she's moving home. Mummy's going to miss her!

Mummy and Aunty Jacky became friends through the MBA Summer Camp at SKKU in Korea in July 2008 - exactly a year ago. How time flies and now Mummy has a five week old baby!

Thank you Aunty Jacky for helping bring all the baby stuff from the US back to Taiwan!

I woke up with early signs of labor on 6/6/09 at about 4am, with no regular contractions or water-bag breaking, I just had to wait it out.....in the meantime, we had a yummy pizza lunch and a light dinner at a japanese restaurant. After that the real pain struck at about 10:45 pm after we had just finished our dinner.

Showered and got our stuff ready...looked like we were going on a vacation with 3 big bags! We even took the laptop which was great entertainment for Daddy - Facebooking while Mummy was in pain....

8 hours of labor later without any epidural, baby Caitlyn arrived safely on Sunday morning, 7 June 2009.

Thank God for a smooth delivery.

You've Got Mail!

June 2nd, 2009 : Caitlyn receives her first piece of snail mail - addressed to Baby Caitlyn. It was a lovely card and a pretty little dress from Aunty Eunice in Singapore.

All these cartons of stuff....are also for Caitlyn - her mattress, stroller, car seat, bedding.....

Daddy spent some time checking out the stuff that we got for Caitlyn....and here's his favorite nice bright green car seat!

Since we have most of the stuff ready, we are just waiting for her to pop...39 weeks and counting....
